Seller Checklist
February 2010
- Replacement of free postage & packaging requirement with maximum postage limits coming into effect on 8 February 2010
- Visit your Seller Dashboard regularly to monitor your performance against the new minimum standards.
- Identify any areas at risk and create an action plan to improve your detailed seller ratings.
- Understand the new PowerSeller eligibility requirements and review the Selling Practices policy.
- To ensure your listings appear on the eBay product pages, list with the product details whenever they're available. Upload clear high resolution photos.
- Opt out if you don’t want your product photos to be used in eBay catalogues.
- Ensure your business address information in My eBay is correct and up-to-date
- Start listing in Clothes & Shoes listings within the new postage limits.
- Check for notifications in the active listings and unsold listings pages in My eBay for Good ‘Til Cancelled listings that haven’t had a sale for 16 months.
- For category changes coming into effect on 7 February 2010, review your listings (including Good ‘Til Cancelled) to ensure they have been moved to the appropriate category and adopt Item Specifics to describe your item.
- Review the tips on how to bulk edit your listings.
March 2010
- If you want to automatically watermark your newly uploaded photos, change the default settings in the Sell Your Item form.
- If you sell in Clothes & Shoes, revise or relist your listings to comply with the new postage limits. if you have active GTC listings they will need to be revised at next relisting
- For category changes coming into effect on 21 March, review your listings (including Good ‘Til Cancelled) to ensure they have been moved to the appropriate category and adopt Item Specifics to describe your item.
April 2010
- Use the multi-variation listing format available in the following new categories: All Home & Garden, Sporting Goods and Baby.
- If you dispatch to the US, buy visibility on eBay.com by using the international site visibility listing upgrade for your fixed price listings.
- Revise listings in the events tickets category if the 45, 60 or 90 dispatch option is applicable. Contact eBay Customer Support to give your feedback on whether this new dispatch option should be considered for an additional category.
