Highlighting listings that offer fast, free delivery

Fast and free delivery is becoming increasingly important to online shoppers. From October, the eBay Fast ‘N Free message will be automatically displayed on listings where a seller offers free postage and an estimated delivery date within 3 working days.

Buyers will benefit from an improved delivery experience and sellers offering this service may see a boost in their sales. Recent test results have shown that listings qualifying for eBay Fast ‘N Free on eBay.com and eBay.com.au received a 4 to 6% increase in sales*.

We’ll also show an estimated date of delivery for all listings on eBay.co.uk, instead of displaying an estimated range for delivery. For example, a listing will display a delivery date between Wednesday 26 September and Thursday 27 September rather than within 1-2 working days.

eBay Fast 'N Free message

It will appear on listngs when the following 3 conditions are met:

1. Both the buyer and the item are within the UK.
2. The first postage offered is free.
3. The estimated delivery date for the free service is 3 working days or less. For example, if your carrier's delivery time is 1-2 working days, your handling time needs to be 1 day to qualify.

Changes to the display of estimated delivery date

We’ll show an estimated date of delivery for all listings on eBay.co.uk, instead of displaying an estimated range for delivery. For example, a listing will display a delivery date between Wednesday 26 September and Thursday 27 September rather than within 1-2 working days.

Our delivery estimates take into account a normal working week: Monday to Friday. We’ll also change the date for bank holidays to make sure your buyers don’t expect to receive their items at the weekend or on a bank holiday.

Listings will continue to display a Saturday delivery date if your selected carrier delivers on Saturdays.
