Changes to fees for business sellers

From 4 September, we're introducing fee changes to encourage you to list all of your stock together with competitively priced postage.UK fee change

Changes for Shop subscribers:

We’re increasing the number of fixed price listings included for Basic and Featured Shops as part of the inclusive allowance and we're reducing insertion fees for sellers without a Shop subscription.

Anchor Shop subscribers will see a reduction of £100 per month in their subscription fee.

Changes to final value fees:

These will now be based on the total cost to the buyer, including postage and packaging.

Finally, we've reduced the final value fee in some categories, introduced limits in others and increased final value fees for some electronics categories.

Maintain or work towards eBay Top-rated seller status to receive a discount on your final value fees.

    * Note: Data for Oct 2012, eBay.co.uk, UK sellers

         FROM 4 SEPTEMBER

  • The new fee structure applies on eBay.co.uk for all new listings or Good 'Til Cancelled listings that have been renewed.

Final value fee changes

From 4 September, if your item sells, you’ll be charged a final value fee based on the total cost to the buyer, including postage, packaging and other related costs.

To manage any fee increase you may see, we recommend you consider the postage costs when setting your item price. You may be able to achieve lower postage costs by exploring alternatives to your current postage supplier.

If you currently offer free postage on most of your items, then this change will have relatively little impact on you.

From 4 September, the following final value fees will apply for business sellers on eBay.co.uk:

**** Good ‘Til Cancelled and 30-day listings only on selected sites. Find out more about fees for international selling

*****This is only a guide. You’ll be charged the standard insertion fee for a private seller listing on that site.

From 1 August, we’re also significantly reducing the cost of listing in Good ‘Til Cancelled and 30 day formats on international sites for Anchor and Featured Shop subscribers.

If you have a Featured Shop  subscription you'll be able to list with no insertion fee on our French, Italian, Spanish and Australian sites, and you'll benefit from large reductions on our other European sites. Your first 500 Good ‘Til Cancelled or 30-day listings per month on eBay.com will also come with no insertion fee.

We’re also extending previously announced international listing fee benefits for anchor shops with eBay Top-rated seller status to all Anchor Shops.  All sellers with an Anchor Shop subscription can now enjoy zero insertion fees when listing on any of our European or Australian sites. Your first 2,500 listings each month on eBay.com and eBay.ca will also come with no insertion fees.

This means there's never been a better time to list your entire inventory and expand your business internationally.

New eBay fee illustrator

We've recently introduced a fee illustrator to display the costs associated with selling multiple items and how this may vary between different Shop subscriptions.  This will be useful to business sellers that want to review whether they have the right Shop subscription for their business.

Finally, we've reduced the final value fee in some categories, introduced limits in others and increased final value fees for some electronics categories.
